Tim Lesmeister is a full-time freelance outdoor writer, photographer, radio, and television host. He began writing about the outdoor pursuits in 1984 and made it a full-time career in 1987. He is currently a columnist for Outdoor News and a co-host of Outdoor News Radio. Lesmeister is currently the Chairman of the Board of the Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers (AGLOW) and was honored with the Golden Glow Excellence in Craft award at their 2013 conference. Lesmeister was recently inducted into the Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame joining the 2020 class of legendary anglers, guides and communicators.
When it comes to telling stories there are few with as much to talk about as Tim Lesmeister. Tim has hunted and fished around the globe, and has documented these trips with his camera and keyboard. He has taken his readers, viewers and listeners to France to hunt Huns, to Alaska to harvest halibut, to England to chase carp, tench, perch and trout, and across the U.S. to hunt, fish, and enjoy what the outdoors has to offer.
